The clock is ticking. You owe it to yourself to get the other side of the story, that being said, those individuals who have dealt with a private wind developer and said, “NO Thanks!”
Folks, the private wind developer has run the table and your voice is silent.
If you wait, it may be too late.
You owe to yourself as a resident whose livelihood relies on inexpensive utility bills, reliable energy and those important hunters who fill the motels and dining venues.
Unless you demand that the Bowman County Economic Development Board and your elected officials on both the Zoning Board & County Commissioner Board assemble an expert panel of individuals who have had experience in the ‘downside’ of dealing with private wind developers, you are giving up your freedoms with a guarantee of excessive utility rate increases, not to mention the loss of hunting revenue.
As yourself: Do you really know the major downsides and the decades long negative impact of these massive structures?
‘A wait and see’ answer simply does not cut it!
By not doing anything is an absolute abdication of responsibility. Why did you elect these folks? To sit on the sidelines and do nothing, or, actually pull in an expert panel (not financed by the wind industry) and educate not only themselves, but the entire county!

If not, ask yourself, are they lining their pockets with campaign finance donations from the likes of the private wind developer, et al!
Research Legal Action on Wind Developer
Prior to even considering signing any lease, remember; anything can happen.
Research all lawsuits/liens filed against the private wind developer.

What will happen when the U.S. wind industry collapses as it has in Europe?
Across the E.U. (European Union) there are more than 500 initiatives ‘against’ wind projects.
Why is Europe walking away from wind and returning to coal and nuclear?
The simple answer is cost and unreliability.
Why are Bill Gates, Paul Allen and Jeff Bezos all emphatically saying, ‘Walk away from wind development!’
Liability Issues
The consequences of the wind leases are far reaching, and will ‘not only’ impact your freedom but the freedom of your adjacent neighbors, and those neighbors 15 miles away, notwithstanding, future generations.
The wind developer is an L.L.C. (a limited liability company).
If you do not think you will be affected, think again.
All residents of Bowman, Rhame, Scranton, Reeder, as well as, rural Bowman County will be impacted.
Go online to research ‘independent’ sources, not financed or backed by a wind development private company.
Simply put, these projects are ‘not’ farms; they are wind turbine projects. You owe it to yourself to research how much, (actually how little), these IWT’s produce in comparison to ‘all’ other forms of energy.
And guess who is paying for these projects? You are paying and will pay again.
Monthly utility bill will never be the same. Be ready to pay 3-4 times your current bill. Research for yourself.
Hunting Tradition in Bowman County
What is the economic impact for Bowman County when the hunters who fill our lodges/hotels/restaurants, year after year stop coming to Bowman County? What happens when the upland birds and antelope/deer abandon Bowman County due to wind turbine infrasound, blade flicker and continuous blinking lights?
Construction/One Time Spurt of Activity
The construction timeframe is only a onetime event. The construction crews dig up the land for each large concrete & rebar base and dig wide trenches for the massive transmission lines. Later the massive turbine components are trucked into a region and erected, and then they all depart. Only a few individuals remain for maintenance. The soil rhizomes are summarily destroyed. Research for yourself.
