
Myron H. Schaaf, 86 of Bowman passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Southwest Healthcare Long Term Center in Bowman.
Funeral Services for Myron were at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Bowman Lutheran Church.
Pastor Mark Nygard officiated with burial following in the Bowman Cemetery. Visitation for Myron was from 11 a.m. to 9p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2017 at the Krebsbach Funeral Home Chapel in Bowman.
Myron Harry Schaaf was born on April 30, 1930 in Bowman, the son of Harry and Margie (Crawford) Schaaf.
He was raised on the family ranch south of Rhame and he attended Langberg Country School and then graduating from Bowman High School.
Myron attended one year of college at Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D., before returning home to help on the family ranch.
Myron was united in marriage to Goldie Susag on June 22, 1949 in the Bethany Church south of Rhame.
After their marriage they made their home on the ranch were they continued to live until retiring where they then moved to Bowman.
Myron enjoyed many things throughout his life.
He enjoyed working the ground with his tractor, raising Herford cattle, watching the Yankees play baseball, trying his luck out in Deadwood and Prairie Knights Casinos, traveling and wintering in Texas with Goldie, telling you a good joke, but most of all loved his family, especially his grand and great grandchildren.
Myron is survived by his wife Goldie of Bowman; son, Wade (Janet) Schaaf of Bowman and their daughters, Heather (Royce) Salzseider of Bowman and their children, Brodey and Adyson; Casey (Chance) Lermeny of Reva, S.D., and their children, Kaylee and Collin; daughter, Melody and (Dean) Pearson of Bowman and their boys, Michael, Todd and Jeffery; sisters, Darlene Borzenski and Marjie Ann (Jim) Harry; brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marie and brothers and sisters-in-law.
