Carolyn M. Bingham, 84, of Bowman passed away on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016 at the Southwest Healthcare Long Term Center in Bowman.

Mass of Christian Burial for Carolyn will be on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Bowman with burial to follow in the Bowman Cemetery. There will be a Rosary and Vigil Service on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the St. Charles Catholic Church. Visitation was on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Krebsbach Funeral Home Chapel and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the St. Charles Catholic Church.

Carolyn “KK or Red” Bingham died Aug. 7, 2016 at Bowman’s Southwest Healthcare Services.

Carolyn was a second generation Italian, born in Marseilles, Ill., Feb. 12, 1932. At a young age she started spending summers in Bowman and after graduating from Gardner-South Wilmington High School she moved to Bowman, hoping to make it her home. She captured the heart of local boy, Robert “Dooley” Bingham and they were married there in August 22nd, 1953. For the next 23 years they lived in Gardner, Ill., where she worked for the United States Arsenal in Joliet, Ill. Carolyn returned to Bowman in 1977 and worked at the Dakota Western Bank.

Carolyn enjoyed bowling, playing cards and telling her daughters how to dress and wear their hair. She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.

She is survived by daughters Peg Njos (Larry) of Rhame and Patti Bingham of Seattle, grandsons Royce (Jackie) Njos of Red Lodge, Mont., and Ryan (Nicole) Njos, great grandchildren, Peyton, Owen, Miles and Ian Njos.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Antonetta Berta, her husband, Dooley Bingham, sister Wanda Stebbins and brothers Wayne and Karl.
