Three individuals, two of them Bowman residents, have been taken into police custody in Colorado related to the probable homicide that occurred Saturday at the El-Vu Motel in Bowman.

Bowman Police Chief Chuck Headley released a written statement Sunday afternoon that did not identify the persons of interest by name, but indicated that an adult male and female from Bowman were arrested Saturday evening in Colorado along with a male from Minnesota.

“This is an extremely trying time for our community,” Headley said.

The victim, whose name has not yet been released pending notification of the family, was said to be a resident of rural Bowman County.

His body was transported to the state pathologist who will now determine cause of death.

“We would ask, out of respect for the family of the deceased and for the families of the persons of interest, that we keep them in our community prayers,” Headley said. “Please let’s show our respect for the privacy to all of those who have been touched in this trying time.”

The Pioneer will provide more updates as additional information is released.
