Northwest Tire, headquartered in Bismarck, will be donating close to $11,000 to 93 schools throughout North Dakota and in Bemidji, Minn.
The money was raised through an August Back To School tire sales campaign called Smart Start. For every set of tires sold, $25 was set aside to be donated to the customer’s school of choice.
When the sales and schools were tabulated at the end of the campaign, a total of $10,775 was raised for 93 public and private schools in Bowman, Dickinson, Bismarck, Minot, Jamestown, Grand Forks and Bemidji.
“We’re pleased with the fact we were able to raise these funds for schools to use as they see fit,” said Dan Pearson, Northwest Tire president. “There are no strings attached with the money – the schools are free to use the funds to benefit their operations as they choose.”
Northwest Tire store managers in each of the school locations will be delivering the donations, along with boxes of apples to say thanks to the teachers and staff for all they do for their students every year.
Based on the success of this year’s promotion and the money raised, Dan says the company looks forward to doing the “Smart Start” campaign again in 2017.
Northwest Tire is a 39 year old, full tire service company based in Bismarck, with 15 stores throughout North and South Dakota and Minnesota.
