LeNore M.Wagner, 85

LeNore Wagner, 85, formerly of Rhame passed away on Nov. 24, 2015. Memorial Services for Lenore were on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 at the First Lutheran Church in Rhame at 2 p.m.

Pastor Mark Nygard officiated with burial held in the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D., on Oct. 3, 2016 at 1 p.m.

Lenore M. LaSotta was born on Nov. 17, 1930 in Alpha, the daughter of Hilda (Timm) and Alex LaSotta. She was raised on the L open A ranch near Alpha and attended Mound country school with her sister Doris as her teacher. LeNore then attended and graduated from Rhame High School in 1948 where she would also participate on the girl’s basketball team and band. She worked for Ahlness drug while attending school and continued to do so after graduating.

On Dec. 10, 1948, LeNore was united in marriage to Melvin Wagner. After their marriage they made their home three miles east of Rhame where they would ranch and farm together. To this union a daughter Michelle was born.

In 1960, they moved into Rhame where LeNore made her home until moving to LaCorsse, Wis., in 2008. LeNore was very active in her community where she was a 4-H Leader of the “Busy Needles”, she played her trombone in the community band, she was a member of Harmony Homemakers Club, Senior Citizens of Rhame, Kill Kare Pinochle Klub, Rhame Hobby Club, Rhame Legion Auxiliary, and was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Rhame, where she also a member of Naomi Circle, taught and was the superintendent of Sunday School and sang in the Church Choir.

LeNore also loved to quilt and was known to be a great seamstress, she loved going to auctions, riding snow mobiles, taking care of the bum lambs and she even helped Jim and Nylla Miller sell fireworks every Fourth of July.

Most of all, she loved her family. She loved all children and couldn’t wait to be a grandmother LeNore is survived by her daughter Michelle and Dr. Gary Susag of Lacrosse, Wis., and their children; MacKenzie (Brandon) Oland of Virginia Beach, Va., McKade Susag and MacKayla Susag both of LaCrosse, Wis., niece; Nylla (Jim) Miller of Bowman and their family, Nikki’s sons; Toby and Alex and their families and a special friend, Laurie Fish Braaten.

LeNore was preceded in death by her parents; Hilda and Alex, step father, Raymond Putney, husband; Melvin, sister; Doris, nephew; Nikki and several cousins.

Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Services was in charge of the arrangements.
