No plea agreement has been reached on either side in the case so the dates of the trial, to be held inside Southwest Judicial District Court in Bowman, have been confirmed.

The felony jury trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 8 and will conclude Nov. 10.

Parra, 19, of Bowman was charged in August 2015 with two Class A felony counts of gross sexual imposition and one Class C felony count of luring minors by computer.

A pretrial hearing scheduled earlier this summer was cancelled after Parra failed to appear in court. His trial was also delayed due to scheduling conflicts with his attorney, Robert Bolinske of Bolinske Law Firm in Bismarck.

Jonathan Byers, an attorney with the North Dakota Attorney General’s office, will serve second chair to Bowman County State’s Attorney Stephanie Pretzer, who will argue the case for the state.
