The Bowman/Slope Community Foundation awarded $11,984 during their 2020 grant round. Local grant requests totaled over $58,800. The Foundation distributed their endowment funds of $6,284, plus an additional $5,700 from generous donors who supported the Power of 100 Campaign.
The 2020 Bowman/Slope Community Foundation awards were as follows:
$4,000 - Scranton Fire Department SCBA Units and Repairs
$3,500 - Splash Path at Rotary Park
$3,000 - Giving Tree 2020 Christmas Expenses
$700 - Amidon Fire Department EMR Equipment
$700 - Marmarth Ambulance Service repeater batteries.
Kasey Burke, Vice Chairman of the Foundation, stated, “The support of our community for our Power of 100 Campaign during a worldwide pandemic was amazing! We were able to do so much more in terms of supporting our local non-profits and government entities that provide services to the people of Southwest North Dakota.”
The Bowman/Slope County Community Foundation was started in 2014 and is a component fund of the North Dakota Community Foundation (NDCF). Grants are awarded from the fund’s earnings once a year. Any organization with a 501(c) 3 status or government agency in Bowman or Slope Counties may apply.
