Whether you are looking for a brick and mortar business location or simply curious about the history of some of our local buildings, On the Market is for you. The purpose of this building tour is to see empty buildings filled, spark ideas for Bowman County Development Corporation’s Business Challenge, and bring attention to beautiful buildings that have so much life left in them. On the Market has the ability to spark growth, band our businesses together, beautify our city, and create jobs.

There are seven buildings included in this tour that are currently listed as for sale, lease, or rent. These include Shopko, Sears, Hibachi House, Dales, Hawks Landing, Schmitt’s and Super Valu. Several local realtors and building owners will be present to answer important questions regarding square footage, cost, condition, and more.

This guided tour will highlight the specifications of each building, showcase local history, provide renderings of what some buildings could look like, and create a space for community members to leave ideas on what they want to see. Attendees will spend approximately 20 minutes in each building, starting at Shopko, with the ability to return to the buildings later that evening or week.

Each building will hold something new for you to explore, eat or relive. The evening will end at the former Super Valu building on Main Street with a burger meal, s’mores bar, live music and more! Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at or at Bowman County Development Corporation 13 1/2 E. Divide. There will also be a limited supply of tickets available to purchase at the door on July 7.
