Ron Palczewski has been elected as Chairman of the board of directors for Dakota Western Bank in Bowman, N.D. by the Dakota Western Bankshares board of directors.  He replaces Roger Berglund who has served as Chairman of the DWB board of directors since 1998.

A 39-year employee of the bank, Palczewski began his career as a loan officer trainee and is currently the President and CEO of Dakota Western Bank, a position he has held since 2009.  He has served on the DWB board of directors since 1998.  

Palczewski grew up on the family ranch south of Scranton and graduated from Scranton High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D. He returned to Bowman and began working at the bank in October 1980.

Chartered in 1910, Dakota Western Bank has branches and stations in Hettinger, Regent, Rhame, and Scranton, N.D., with headquarters in Bowman.
