The Bowman County Sheriff K-9 is trained in three specialized areas – narcotics detention, person search and item search.

One of those three – narcotics detection – paid off for the Sheriff K-9 Officer Shaine Towe when he made a stop near Gascoyne.

Bowman Police Department Sgt. Ross Dannhoff took a theft report at a local business Sunday and put out information about the suspects.

Towe stopped a vehicle and requested assistance from Sergeant Ross Dannhoff

During the stop, stolen items were recovered and the Sheriff K-9 Ruby also indicated the presence of narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia.
