Local game warden named Wildlife Officer of the Year

The North Dakota Game and Fish Department district game warden Art Cox has been named the Wildlife Officer of the Year.

Cox, who is stationed in Bowman, received the honor from a private conservation organization, Shikar-Safari, in December.

Each year, the organization recognizes outstanding wildlife officers in each state.

Cox’s district includes all or parts of four counties and a variety of wildlife and recreational areas.
