More than 50 local residents set up appointments to donate blood Monday at the Four Seasons Pavilion in Bowman.

The Bowman Lions Club sponsored the blood drive.

“It is pretty well filled up,” Nancy Schaefer said Monday afternoon when she logged the donors in.

Vitalant supplied the machines and the crew for the drive.

According to Schaefer, it was a good turnout for the community.

After the donors checked in, they received a mask and waited in socially distant chairs until their names were called.

After a short interview process, the donors were hooked up to the machines.
