There is a new ATM in the Bowman County building.
It has been in place for several weeks after being delayed by the COVID-19 related closure.
The Dakota Western Bank in Bowman was installed when some of the governmental restrictions were lifted by the state, according to Bowman County Auditor Sandi Tivis.
“Then we could have the crew come in and put it (the ATM) in,” she said.
The county commissioners are still restricting access to the building, she explained. “They decided to keep it as is with appointments simply because of the state DOT. We have a Department of Motor Vehicles branch office here and they are not allowing any face-to-face visits. It is strictly by appointment only. So, our office has to follow that,” she added.
In addition, the NDSU Extension Office in the building is not allowing face-to-face visits yet.
“Our commissioners said it was just easier to have just appointments only until those state offices are allowed to open up,” the auditor added.
